My Crazzzzy Life!

Life... especially mine, can be kind of crazy at times!! Seems like the last year has been a little hectic. I'm hoping now that the wedding planning and honeymoon preparations are behind me, convention is over, and we've moved from West Chester, to Denver (PA that is!!) that I can FINALLY work on building my SU business! Funny thing is, every time I mention that I moved to Denver, I get the "dear-in-the-headlights-look" and I have to immediately follow it with "PA that is!" So, the boxes are mostly gone (there are still a few here and there) but for the most part... I am unpacked and the craftroom is ready to go! AS A MATTER OF FACT... not ONLY did I finish my Convention Make 'n Takes, I was able to whip off a MOJO card! LOOKIE:

I figured that I better get and use up my Nautical Expedition DSP and The Open Sea stamp set before its gone! Convention Bound!!

In 6 hours I will be heading to convention!! I'm especially excited this year to be going to convention because I will be going with by two GREAT friends Barb & Karin, and will be meeting my sister there! SO! the four of us will be roomies!!

I am going to try to keep my blog updated with the latest and greatest news as we get it.. (if we're allowed) and I'll post pics as well!

2011 Easter Card

Just because I haven't posted... doesn't mean that I wasn't stamping! I have a few great cards that I want to show you over the next few days... I need to catch you up with what's been going on at MY house!!

This little beauty was done using the chalkboard technique. Stamp your image using White Craft ink on Basic Black cardstock then make sure you heat set. I used the vine flourish from Vintage Vogue.

Using your Watercolor pencils, color over top of the white lines. Touch up using your white gel pen I added some extra doodle-dots along the flowers and vines. Punch it out using the Wide Oval Punch. Here's a close up picture:

The center "egg" is popped up on dimensionals. The Easter greeting comes from a retired stamp set called Well Scripted. Gosh I loved that stamp set!! :(

Mojo inspiration

Whenever I need a little (ok.. here lately... a LOT of) inspiration, I always check out the MOJO sketches! HERE you will find pages and pages, and MORE pages of super great cards by some pretty amazing talent!

Sooo... I bring to you THIS card...

So, I'm not sure if I can even remember the colors I used to sponge in the area around the flower. But, I'll try to compose a list below. This card features the Friends Never Fade stamp set, as well as Greenhouse Gala DSP. I used the Hobby Blade to cut out the smaller flower of the focal image, and tucked the gorgeous 5/8 inch Pumpkin Pie satin ribbon underneath. Using my piercing tool and the mat pack, I poked a frame around the Soft Suede card stock for a little added dimension.

Here's a closeup of the cut-out. It's pretty easy to cut, once you figure out where exactly you want to place the ribbon. I hope this card, or ANY of the many other lovely cards found on the MOJO site inspires YOU to dig out your stamp supplies and STAMP! (A dirty stamp is a HAPPY stamp!!)

Out of the Darkness

So... I was thinking... it's about FINE TIME that I should post on my blog! Which brings me to the name of THIS card.. Out of the Darkness! Not only do I feel like I've stepped out of a dark hole, but I think this card has that same look and feel! This card is a submission for the Splitcoaststampers sketch challenge SC328.

Here's a closeup picture of the flower punched using the Build a Blossom punch from the Occasions mini catalog (this punch is still available, by the way) and the center is accented with the Basic pearls. I'm not sure if you can see the shimmery petals, but those were embossed using Iridescent Ice embossing powder. Email me if you have any additional questions!

Lots of New Things going on.....

I've been MIA, and I appologize for that, BUT I've been extremely busy over the last few months trying to get everything ready for the wedding.. and If you were ALL wondering... the wedding was beautiful and the honeymoon was SOOooo much more than I could have ever imagined! This picture was taken the night before the wedding.... hmm.. we look SO calm...

Everything went well. The reception was decorated like a Hawaiian luau, and everyone had a blast! I was exhausted by the end of the night. We left for Hawaii on Tuesday, Dec 14, and returned two days before Christmas. JUST in time for the winter storm BLAST!! I came from the Hawaiian temperatures ranging in the mid 80's back to the frigid cold artic chilly blast! Needless to say, I was missing the tropic temperatures! It was finally nice to be back home again to see my children! I missed them all!

So... now with the New Year here, and my schooling is done, I will be concentrating on my Stampin' Up! business, classes, clubs, and workshops!

Speaking of workshops, if you are interested in holding one, NOW is the BEST time to do so. I'm booking workshops now for Sale-a-bration. Don't miss this opportune time!

Stamper's Holiday Retreat-2010

Yep... it's been a month since I've last posted.. ugh! I know.. i know.. But, I've been extremely busy :)

Between getting ready for the Retreat, and my wedding in December, I haven't had much time to post much. It probably won't get much better the closer we get to the wedding.

The Holiday Retreat was awesome!! There were 16 really FUN holiday projects, and I am SURE that everybody enjoyed making them. Here's a few pictures from the event:

Each project was contained in a basket, and the baskets floated back and forth between the stampers.

The Big Shot was in the center of the room so everyone could get to it, because almost EVERY single projected had something on it that used the big shot. Embossing folders, or die cuts... the Big Shot was used well.

I'm making pretty good progress on the wedding... and Leo just told me this morning that there is only 57 more days left before the wedding... AAARRRGGHHHHH.... I have SO much stuff to do, yet!!

Here's what I've got to do yet...

- Finish my wedding dress (I have to add the sleeves, and hem it)

- Make Leo's dress shirt (not even started, yet)

- Alter the bridal party's wedding dresses (that should be pretty quick)

- Make hair clips

- Doctor up the guest book, and tiki torches

- Make the unity candles

- Write up the "Sand" ceremony verses

- Finish the bouquets

- Make Thank You cards

- Make gift boxes

I'm pretty sure, one good work weekend will knock a lot of this stuff off my list.

However, TODAY... I am dedicating to my brother, Barry! We are on our way to Millsboro, Delaware to visit him and his wife, Sue. He just got out of the hospital --had some major surgery, and a few other issues that will be taken care of soon. I am praying daily for his recovery. Even with the wedding fastly approaching, NOTHING is more important than making sure family member know that we love them, and want them to be happy, and healthy! So, today, I dedicate to my brother! I love you Barry! :o)

Elegant Lines - II

Ok.. the first time I used my Elegant Lines embossing folder, I spritz the cardstock with the Frost White shimmer paint, and put it in the embossing folder on the wrong side!! ... After I tossed that aside and made this last card, I re-thought the error, and decided to use it anyway! This card uses the negative impressions of the embossing lines. If you look closely, you can see that the line images are indented instead of raised. But, what an awesome look!!

This card uses the same basic layout as a previous post. I finally broke the wrapper on my Woodland Walk DSP. This is such gorgeous paper and it matches the Growing Green stamp set. (one that I don't have... YET!)

You just can't go wrong when you pair up the Wild Wasbi Textured cardstock up with this DSP. It matches perfectly... like ALL Stampin' Up! products!

Simple... yet... Elegant

Elegant simplicity!

I was playing around with the Elegant Lines embossing folder and the etchings in the folder are SO deep that it kept giving me crease lines across my cardstock. So, I figured if I sprayed the cardstock to moisten it that I wouldn't get those ugly crease lines. I sprayed my cardstock with a mixture of rubbing alcohol and the Frost White shimmer paint and the results were impressive!

I simply LOVE these half-pearl embellishments. They have adhesive on the back so they can be easily placed anywhere on your artwork!

The Rich Razzleberry DSP was created using the Presto specialty paper and sponged with Rich Razzleberry. This cardstock is awesome! You can spritz it, sponge it, smooch it, and the designs on the cardstock just POP! I just LOVE IT!

Time for......

a little MOJO!!

It's always a GREAT design... and even BETTER when an idea pops into your head the moment you see the sketch! The second I looked at the sketch I realized that I NEEDED to use the Because I Care stamp set!

This was the VERRRRY first time that I've inked this stamp, and it certainly won't be the last! This image is so realistic that I could almost smell the hydranga flower.. ...oooohh kayyyy... maybe not THAT realistic. But it IS beautiful!!

There are LOTS of cool elements going on here.. first of all, Let me tell you that this idea was cased from my very close friend and downline, Nance Clugh. She's an awesome stamper! And it was HER idea to punch out the little flowers and add dimenstional!

So... what I did was stamped a number of small flowers with the single flower stamp, and then punched them out using the flower punch in the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack trio set. (noooo.. I didn't cut them out by hand!!) Then they are all raised up on dimensionals to give it an illusion of depth. The Scallop Edge Border punch gives the Lap of Luxury DSP a nice edge. I matched the DSP up against some Concord Crush cardstock to make it pop! The 1/2 inch stitched poly ribbon finishes it off nicely!! What a GREAT ribbon to work with! Easy peasey to tie bows!!

August card class was a lot of fun.. It's a shame if you missed it, because in this class we made some really awesome cards.
One was a slider card, and the other was a Marquee card!

This first card was shamelessly stolen from Jan Tink! If you have never read her blog called Stamps, Paper, Scissors... please do yourself a favor and read it!! I read it from beginning to end once and HONESTLY.. I laughed for hours!! Her creativity and sense of humor astound me!! It cracks me up how whenever she mentions our CEO of Stampin' Up! Shelli Gardner.. she always follows with... (may she live forever!). I oogle and Ahhh over Jan's artwork as well as getting side-stitches from her comic relief! Jan also provides a video on how she makes her Marvelous Magical Marquee card, so I won't go into construction details... so.. here's the card!

TOTALLY AWESOME????.... I think so too!!

I received a new batch of Stampin' Up! DSP today and a new stamp set... and it was JUST in time for today's MOJO sketch!! If you have never participated in a MOJO sketch... then TODAY might be the day you decide to partake in some of the FUN!

MOJO149 gives us a choice of either a square card or a round card. I started out doing the round card, but juuust didn't like the way it was turning out. Sometimes I feel that I have more possibilities doing square or rectangle shaped cards.. so, I scrap'd the round card attempt and ended up with THIS:

The card base is Concord Crush, In-Color, and the DSP is called Lap of Luxury. Every single piece of this paper is breath-taking! Did you notice the white 1/2 pearls in the corner! These have become my favorite new embellishments!! Cute huh? I was searching through my white card stock supply, and found this once piece of Whisper White that was already punched. So, I thought I would use it and add something inside the punched hole. My new stamp set, Style Beautiful, was BEGGING to be inked... so, I filled it with Whisper White Craft ink, and set it with the heat gun. I think the image just POPS out from the Basic Black! I tied a small piece of Pretty in Pink Taffetta ribbon and popped the entire element up on dimensionals.

Here's a close up of the main focal point:

Since I used a dark color (Concord Crush) for the base of the card, I added a piece of Whisper White cardstock to the inside.

I was very happy with the way it turned out... Except, I DID notice, when I was posting this, that I missed adding the three stripes in the background.

Stamp Class

Last week, I went to a Stamp Class held by one of my good friends and downline, Nance. It was GREAT sitting on the opposite side of the table.. not teaching, and just stamping!! Actually.. it was rather NICE! Although I must say, it did feel "different" being the student for a change, and not the teacher. Nance did a GREAT job, as usual. Here are the four cards that we stamped!

A tisket... a tasket....

....a yummy, chocolate-filled basket!! Ok..ok.. I was NEVER good at poetry!

But... I did want to show the cute little baskets of YUMMY GOODNESS that I gave to the girls who attended my class on Saturday. I normally give something to all the attendees.. and they just LOVED these little baskets:

CUTE... HUH?... i found this gem on Kerin's blog.. definately check it out. She's got some really CUTE stuff on her blog!

These were filled with Hershey kisses and tied with a pink satin ribbon. The basket is cut from the Baskets and Blooms die and I also used the tag, and two of the flowers from that same die. I stamped it using the Elements of Style and ran the basket through the Big Shot again using the new Lattice Embosing folder.. all from the new Summer mini.. (Please contact me if you need one.. this is ONE catalog that you can't live without!!) The flowers were sponged... and curled a little using my bone-folder, and the tag was also sponged. Fill it with some yummy chocolate, and tie it with a Pink Satin Ribbon! Fantastic!!!! What a great gift idea or a neat party favor!

TIP: Stamp your image first before dry embossing!! It makes a WORLD of difference!

Doncha just LOVE a little sprinkle of MOJO

... it SURE does get the creative juices flowing!

These sketch challenges ALWAYS sparkes a small creative flame. Everyone needs a morsal of MOJO, and this sketch is NO different!

(I'm thinkin' my color could be better on my camera!)

The sketch is simple enough.. a few layers a strip of paper and/or ribbon, a tad bit of hemp will do the trick! I started out with my very favorite color Rich Razzleberry and build up from there. Then I grabbed another favorite DSP called: Cottage Wall, and backed it with some Old Olive cardstock. Oh My Heavens... this paper is GORGEOUS! I gave my big shot some much needed attention and added a slice of Whisper White after cutting it with the Top Note Die and embossing it with the Floral Bouquet folder. YEP.. still have all my fingers!! The sentiment is from the All Holidays set and it was inked using the Many Marvelous Markers... namely (Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, and Pale Plum.) GOSH.. this paper goes so well together!! I sponged the sentiment edges, mounted it on Old Olive and assembled the entire works using a Jumbo Grommet, and a Jumbo Brad. Don't forget to add a bit of hemp... and...TADAAAAAaaaaa.... DONE!

NO animals were hurt in the making of this card! AND...All of these items can be purchased on my demonstrator website... YEP... EVEN WHILE in your jammies!! (I won't look!) :)

Happy Mother's Day, Everyone!!
Yesterday we went on a beautiful hike in Gap, Pennsylvania yesterday... and BOY am I glad we went yesterday, because today is rather COLD!! Brr..

When we got back last night, I made this card for my oldest daughter. I just LOVE this set.. It's called: Awash with Flowers, and it's one of the new stamp sets that will be featured in the new catalog coming out in July! Check it out... it's a beauty!

I'm pretty sure she'll like it!

I think finishing off the inside of the card really completes it. And I like to stamp something on the inside, usually a little lighter in color. So, I stamped the main image off once before I stamped it on the inside. The eyelet border punch also finishes the card off nicely.

MOJO-a-LISHIOUS

I love MOJO sketches! There's always a fun sketch, and these are GREAT because 1/2 the work of making a card is already done for you. Sometimes I think that's the hardest part, coming up with a sketch. If you never have participated in a MOJO sketch... you really need to try it once! Give it a go! a MOJO GO!

Here's the sketch:

And.. my card:

This card uses the very tropical Designer Series Paper called: Island Oasis which is featured in the Summer Mini... (by the way, contact me right away if you don't have one!!) You can get the same look on YOUR hibiscus flowers by using the Rock 'n Roll Technique. Just stamp first in Summer Sun ink, and then ROLL the edges in Melon Mambo ink. I also spritz the rubber with a mist of water before I stamped it. They looked they they were water colored!! The small 3/4 inch squares were quickly embossed using the new Textured Impressions Embossing Folder also in the Summer mini, its called: Square Lattice Remember!! All of these items featured on this card can be purchased at my Stampin' Up! web store!!

Oh.. Goodness.. I've been busy!

It FEELS GOOOOOOD!

....... to finally get to stamp instead of having do to homework!! I ALMOST forgot how to upload pictures to my blog!!

BUT... low and behold.. a CARD:

We will be making this in my next stamp class.. (Saturday, May 15 @ 1:00 pm)

This card features a stampset called... Elements of Style and the new embossing folder called.. Square Lattice both are featured in the Summer mini which JUST came out on May 1.

Here's a close up of the butterfly, which is cut using the Bigz Butterfly die, and the stamp technique is watercoloring directly on the rubber with the Watercolor Crayons, then misting it with a fine spray of water... it gives a soft watercolor look.. I just LOVE it!

This is another card my stamp class will be making, using the new Itty Bitty Bits, the Punch Pack, and Bitty Buttons. The flower is made using three Whisper White Scallops using the Scallop Circle punch, roughed up, split in half, and secured with a brad. Scrunch up the 'petals' and sponge the edges to give it a finished look like a carnation (MY favorite flower.. by the way!)

Here's a close up of the flower... It almost looks REAL!

Ok.. so.. RUN don't walk to my stamp class on Saturday, May 15, for these two card projects, and a few other FUN things to stamp!

DONE with SCHOOL!!! YAY!! FINALLY

This last class felt soooooo LOOONNGG!! and I can't BELIEVE it... it's finally OVER!

WOW... I already FEEL like I have LOADS more time!! (even though, its the SAME amount of time I had before.... it just FEELS like WAYYY MORE!)

I'm JUMPING up and down!!

SO.... for my GRADUATION present... Leo going to let me RE-DO my craftroom! OOOhhhh.. I have soooooooooo many idea swimming around in my head.. I can't WAIT to get started.

Just know these few things that will be coming up:

In JUNE.. I will be having a HUGE GIANTIC Craft Sale called: OUT with the OLD / IN with the NEW!
EVERYTHING not in the current catalog will be GOING! I need to make room for new goodies, and clean up so my new cabinets won't be cluttered! OOooohhh I can't WAIT!

In JULY... I will be having an Open House to celebrate the new catalog! SO.... more details to come on THAT!

I FINALLY got to stamp today!

This card is one I started last week for the SCS sketch challenge.. but.. didn't get to finish it until today!! It's kind of been a crazy week... and I'm afraid it's only going to get worse before it gets better. I've started my FINAL class for my Master's Degree.. and this one is the BEAST. It's my capstone class, and it will take a LOT of my time.. so for the next EIGHT agonizing weeks.. I will be trying to get through this last class! UGH! However... when I'm done... i'm DONE! So.. I will be posting WAY more than I have been these last couple of months...
NOW... on to the cards that I made today!!
Like I said.. this one is for the Splitcoaststampers Wednesday sketch challenge #269..

SUPER-DUPER EXCITING NEWS!!!!

There's.... a WEDDING in my future!! YAY!!!
So.. (picture this...) me and Leo are coming back from taking Jaimee to meet her Dad... and we're deciding where to go for dinner... and we stopped at THE MOST romantic Italian restaurant in Downingtown. (I had thought that this place was a Japanese restaurant.. i'm NOT sure where I got THAT idea from! So.. we walk in and the place looks like it right off of the streets of Italy! simply GORGEOUS!!

After we order our drinks, Leo looks at me from across the table... puts this tiny black fuzzy box on the table, and slides it over to my side.. and I was Sooooooo excited!! I opened it up and just SQUEALED! The waitress was really cute.. because she came back with our drink order.. and she said.. "WHAT DID I MISS?" I said.. "I guess you just missed the proposal!" She said.. "OH THIS calls for a bottle of wine!!" So.. we ordered some YUMMMMMY champagne, and toasted to our future!!

And.... here's the RING!

It's just sooooooooo beautiful!!

Haitian Disaster Relief

On January 12, 2010 a magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck Haiti, leaving in its wake devastation so overwhelming that the Haitian people and their leaders can only look for help from the outside to cope. SR#1 - Stampin' Royalty Blog Challenge

Soooo..... COOL!
I found the start of a new blog challenge, called: Stampin' Royalty. This brand new challenge starts us off celebrating it's birth! The challenge... create a Birthday Card.

SO... since I know that I'm ALWAYS late sending my sister her birthday card (in Feb) that I would get an early jump on it! (Don't look any further, Sissy, if your reading this!!)

Here's my take on this challenge. I used the ornament punch as a vase simply by cutting off a tiny bit of the bottom. Then I ran it through my Big Shot using the Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder, and then painted the raised portion of the embossing with Platinum Shimmer Paint. Add some branches and blossoms, pop up the vase on a dimensional, and VOILA it's an INSTANT vase of prettiness!

   I adapted this version from Dawn's blog by just using a different stamp set!
       She's got sooooo many goodies on her blog, I could spend all day paroosing it!
This project uses my clear mount stamp set called: With All My Heart and Well Scripted. It also features the new Pinking Hearts punch and the Small Heart punch.
   OhMyGooodnesss this is such a cute valentine.... because... when you open it up...

Thank Goodness for the New Year!

WOW... did it feel GOOD to finally get into my craftroom!!!

I do love the holidays, however it can just get SO overwhelming at times!! I had GREAT intentions... and just about everyday in December, I wanted to get some "stamp time" in, but there was always something else that needed to be done first, so my stamping bliss time was post-poned numerous times.

I hope everyone's holidays were special and wonderful... mine were! Tonight I stamped, tomorrow my tree comes down! Which will officially mark the end of the holiday season.

It took me a while to FIND my craft table, because things just got piled up... higher and higher, until I was able to sort through the rubble! BUT... here is it... The FIRST card of 2010... Called: Love Birds!

This card uses our NEW Speciality Designer Series Paper called: Sending Love... and EVERY single sheet is STUNNING! I highly recommend this beautiful paper, its just SOoo pretty!

This card will be one of the project that my stamp class will be making this Saturday, if you live in Southeastern PA, and would like to attend, please contact me.

The base of the card is Very Vanilla, the pink scallop was die cut using the Circle Scallops #2 die, and the stamp set is called Love You Much! I used the Heart to Heart punch for the cut out hearts, and the birds... (if you look closely)... are paper pierced using some Saffron DSP. Check out that beautiful satin ribbon... YEP... in the Occasions Mini Catalog coming out! (Check out my side bar, I have a button if you want to see the mini)

Did you think I got lost?

Hello??... HELLLLOOOoooo??... [ echo ] .....
                   Anybody here? [ echo ].......
Holy Scmokes! It seems SOOooo LONG! Wow! My last post was in the beginning of December!   I'm so so sorry, the past month has just ZOOOOMED by me! I can hardly believe that next WEEK is Christmas! Wowzers! And, as usual, I am by FAR.... NOT ready! At least I have all of my Christmas cards made. I did that before I went away on vacation last month. Thankgoodness for small miracles!
Ok... so, Honestly.. I have been so busy! The good news is, last night I took my final, so I don't have another class until next year.. the bad news is... next year is only TWO weeks away!
   More good news... the Holiday Inn Express contracted me to make 120 Christmas cards for them... PLUS... she just called me tonight, asking for another FORTY by Monday! Without thinking... i told her YES! yikes! Nothing like a little MORE added pressure! SO...here's the card.. (a few minor changes were, to remove the extra snowflake punch and only make it in velumn, and I added white grosgrain ribbon accross the bottom) I am kicking myself for not taking pictures of the 120 cards, but this card is VERY similar to what I gave her:

When I made the extra 40 cards, I will CERTAINLY take a picture. I was just so darn excited to get them done, and delivered, that I completely forgot to take a snap shot! (oh well)...

I'm sooooo beat! I still have a lot to do yet tonight, so I better get crackin'

Decor' Elements

HOW.... COOOOOL..... is..... THIS?

This was one of our projects that my stamp class did on Saturday!

I picked up some inexpensive square plates over the weekend, and the class used Decor' Elements on them. Oh.. I am kicking myself for not taking pictures of everyone's plate! They were ALL so GORGEOUS!

You can STILL order these transfers in the four colors: Black, Chocolate, Red, and White
Don't WAIT... because after January 4, they are GONE!

I'll be using mine for my Holiday Cookies this year!

"Clearly" a step in the RIGHT direction!

New TOYS!! My Christmas present came early today! I wasn't expecting my Stampin' Up order to come until Thursday... and WAHOOO'ies... it came TODAY!

I am SOOOOOOOO excited about the next mini catalog coming out... AND... if you're on my customer mailing list, you WILL be getting one in the mail within the next few weeks!

There are SOOO many new items coming out that it is JUST too many to mention... but... Here are a few new toys that I want to share with you!

By FAR... these are my favorites!

These are clear mount blocks for the new rubber stamp line! YEP!! NO KIDDING!! Stampin' Up will NOW be offering both clear mounting and wood mounting options! It will be our same high-quality rubber! Coming in January you'll be able to order either clear-mount or wood-mount stamps.

PLUS... the clear-mount stamps sets will come in a storage box the size of a DVD. SO.. that MEANS... MORE stamp sets in a smaller amount of storage space!! WAH-HOO!

OK... the next exciting news is....

SWEEEET ! Satin ribbon!! Gosh I love our ribbons! And THESE are suberb! I didn't get all of the colors, but what I have here is (left to right) Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Real Read, Very Vanilla, and.. BASIC BLACK (you can bearly see that one) Oh.. this ribbon is Oh SO NICE!

Other colors that will be available are: Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink, Bashful Blue and Basic Gray! I plan on getting those right after Christmas! :)

No, Really, I am.... I know, i know... it doesn't SEEM like I am, because I've been totally ignoring my blog! HOWEVER.... the trip home was totally exhausting... even though I slept almost the entire way on the plane. I dunno, traveling always wears me out!
So, anyway, we did get home Saturday evening, I'm STILL not caught up on my laundry.. Anybody wanna do it for me?? ... (just kidding!)

Sunday, I did pretty much nothing but vegatate on the sofa.. (still worn out, I guess), and other than working almost every single night this week (LATE... mind you), I've been trying to get ready for my Saturday, Holiday workshop class this Saturday. AND... not to mention... TRY to keep up with my homework. I really CAN'T wait until I'm done school... boy oh boy that will be one BIG PAR-TAY!

Anyway... bear with me on my blog... Trust me... I won't leave you high and dry! ;I'll be getting something posted sometime this weekend. (I hope!)... because I also have a huge term paper due on Sunday, (which I haven't started yet.... anybody interested in doing THAT for me?? )... I suppose it all boils down to............
I'D RATHER BE STAMPING!!!

Disney Vacation - Day 6

Disney's Hollywood Studio's (Formely known as: MGM Studio's)
The kids really enjoyed Hollywood Studio's, Thomas and Daniel's favorite spot was the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! The popular Indiana Jones is replayed right before your eyes! Indiana Jones arrives through a hole in the ceiling, coming down on a rope...Spikes pop up in the stage floor, and a huge "boulder" trys to crush him as he runs from it. They use volunteers from the audience, but I couldn't get any of our kids to volunteer! Another BIG highlight from the day was the show called "Lights, Motors, Action!" This show had LOTS of stunt cars, motorcycles, and jet skis racing across the set. There was even a guy who fell from a 5-story building onto an airbag. Plus, anytime things "BLOW UP" the boys love it! Other things we did were: Star Wars thrill ride, Muppet 3D vision, The Great Movie ride, The Backlot Tour, and the night ended with a spectacular view of the city lights. Check this out:

Disney Vacation - Day 5

Magic Kingdom - Part 2
Yep... It rained.... and.... rained.... and RAINED! - BUT, one good thing was that the park wasn't crowded! We finished up seeing everything on the right side of the park. Mickey and Minnie's Toon Town, Fantasyland, and Tomorrowland. The night ended with a spectacular fireworks display over top of Cinderella's castle. We didn't get back to the room until 11:30, and thank goodness that we drove the rental car over, or it would have been much later!

Magic Kingdom - Part 1
Goodness.... What can I say! There was SOOooo much to see in Magic Kingdom that we only covered half of the park and we're going back to see the other half tomorrow! (Actually today, since i was supposed to post this LAST night!!)

Disney Vacation - Day 3

Today we went to Blizzard Beach. A total BLAST! Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures to show you of Blizzard Beach, because... well... it's a waterpark! WAIT... I have a few.. check these out:

The entire park has snowdrifts, and icicles hanging off of the roofs and its "story" is that there was a freak snow storm and someone saw an opportunity for a ski resort! Here's the link: Blizzard Beach
First thing we did was the Cross Country Creek.. which was a lazy inner tube float around the entire waterpark. Then we went down the Run Off Rapids which was more fun coming down than going up!... WAYYYY too many steps! Me and Leo did that ride only ONCE, while the kids went back on it. Next was Teamboat Springs, where all five of us sat in a huge round inner tube and went down this realllllllly steep slope that kept dipping to the right and the left... really FAST! That was a lot of fun because to get to the entrance to that ride, you had to jump on a skylift to take you up up and UP. After we had lunch, we hung out for about an hour at Melt-a-way Bay. Which was this giGANTic wave pool. Pretty cool place.

The highlight of Jaimee's vacation was we all went to see the movie New Moon after the water park! It's your typical... highschool girl falls in love with a vampire...AND... a werewolf!.. you know, every father's dream?... (cough cough!!)... It was pretty good. She was happy! :o)

Disney Vacation - Day 2

Another tiring day!!.... I must have walked 20 miles today.... Phew! ok.. maybe not 20.. but it FELT like it!!! After having a fantastic "Mickey" breakfast at our hotel.......

......we went to Disney's Animal Kingdom. The kids enjoyed the rides, some of their favorites were: It's Tough to be a Bug , Mt. Everest , Dinosaur , and the Safari ride .

The best ride was by FAR... Dinosaur! Unfortunately, we weren't allowed to take any pictures, and quite honestly, we bounced around so much that they would not have come out anyway! In this ride, you sit in a "time travel" vehicle, and go back in time on a mission to find a particular species of dinosaur. And this ride bounces you all over the place, while giantic dinosaurs try to eat you! The kids loved it, and I screamed the entire way through!

Continuation of Day 1 (Last night)

I didn't get to bed until sometime after midnight because the kids wanted to go swimming last night when we got back from Downtown Disnet at 10:00..... So, we swam in the pool until we got kicked out for being TOO loud, and THAT was after midnight!!

Might I add that these beds are soooooooooooooooooooooo comfy! WOW! I slept soooo goood last night.. PLUS... I was just EXHAUSTED!!

We're staying at the Lake Buena Vista Hotel... and we're on the 15th floor... with a spectacular view!! check this out:

And Last night, once we got situated in our hotel room, we met my sister and her husband at Downtown Disney for dinner at an Irish Pub called Ragland..

We walked around Downtown Disney and found HATS! And everyone was trying them on!! Some of them were soooooo crazy!!

Disney Vacation - Day 1

Sorry, I haven't posted in a long time... but.. it's been kind of busy at my house. First, I'm back in school for the next 5 months... i know.. ugh!... But, THEN.. I'll finally be done!! WAHOO!

And, today.... we're OFF.. We're heading to Disney. Me, Leo, Jaimee, Thomas, and Daniel! I'll try to post everyday... even try to get some pictures on here... But... right now, we're sitting at the airport. Our plane takes off at 1:00 p.m., so we have some time to hang out here.. The kids are having fun at the little "playground" type area they have here at the end of the "D" terminal.

As soon as we get to the hotel tonight, I'll add today's pics!

Another Cupcake Birthday card

Soooo.... I had to make another birthday card, and since I just LOVE this Crazy for Cupcake stamp set, I dug it out again.   I wanted to use some really crazy and wild designer paper, so I found some retired DSP called Sweet Always.
This card was watercolored using blenderpens and markers.  Use the brush end of the marker and scribble on a smooth surface. Pick up some of the ink color using the blender pens and apply to the stamped image.
Each layer is matted on Chocolate Chip cardstock.

   The star is made by punching the Small Star first, then positioning the Large Star around the first punch. This leaves you with an outline of a star.
   The cherries are colored in with a Real Red marker, and topped with a dab of Crystal Effects to make them look shiny and round! The icing is highlighted with a jellyroll pen.

Baby MOJO juice!

Nothing like a little MOJO juice to get juices flowin!

This little beauty was created using the MOJO Monday sketch #112. You can always be certain that a fabulous new sketch will be posted each week! When a friend of mine asked me to make a baby card, it was just the perfect timing for MOJO112.
The entire card is made using Whisper White cardstock and So Saffron Designer Series Paper. Both backgrounds were embossed using the Big Shot and the Elegant Bouquet ;and Swiss Dots embossing folders, with just a touch of So Saffron for a mat border. I cut the round tab using the 1 3/8 inch Circle punch. The flower from the pretties kit is spritzed with the new Frost White Shimmer Paint to give it a little extra pizazz! Isn't that just Gorgeous? I just can't bear to part with this retired SU! set called So Many Scallops. It is one of my all-time favorites! To finish off the card, I added a small bow using Apricot Appeal grosgrain ribbon.
So... try a little MOJO yourself... It's just darn good STUFF!

Decor' Elements & Vintage Ornaments I

I just LOVE my new stencils from page 29 of the Decor' Elements Catalog!
This card uses TWO colors of Ink, and the Shimmer Paints for the accent. I was amazed at the results!
The smaller ornament is stenciled first by sponging the background with Soft Suede classic ink. The hanger was also sponged with Soft Suede except just with a little more pressure. Then... (this is important).. MASK the smaller ornament, and sponge the second one using Rich Razzleberry. Again, using more pressure to stencil the hanger makes it looks like a different color was used. The accents were placed on the ornaments using Platinum & Frost White Shimmer Paints. Gosh...I just LOVE those paints! They are a LOT of fun!!

When you order the stencils, you get two ornament stencils, and two fancy decorations for them. Be careful when cleaning them because they are rather intricate and you wouldn't want to bend the plastic. There is another set of ornaments... and since I've been bitten by the stencil bug.. I need to get them toooo!

You will have the opportunity to learn more advanced stamping techniques than you would at an In-home workshop. Each class is scheduled on the second Saturday of each month between 1½ to 2 hours long, and you will make 3 projects each and every month (for 10 months)!

Your 10 month Card Class project supplies are FREE!

Please Note:
• The monthly classes are optional!
• Club orders are due on the 15th of every month.

• Bring a guest for $5, and introduce them to the Card Class YOU will receive $5 off your monthly requirement for that month, only.
• Guests are welcome to attend for 2 months only, and then will be asked to join the next Stamp Club to continue.
• Those too far to come to Club will receive the supplies to make the projects in the mail. (Stamp sets or adhesive is not included)
• Videos will be posted on my blog for those members who can not attend class.
• As soon as I have TEN members we can get started!! (so, ask your friends to join now!)
• To be fair to everyone who joins, I will have each member sign a committment form so that everyone understands the requirements.
